Never mind the fact that Arkansas made it to the SEC title game and was the national story of the year, these parents are pissed that their boys aren't being catered to.

These parents need to STFU.

Parents for Arkansas freshman football players Mitch Mustain, Damian Williams and Ben Cleveland met with Razorbacks Athletic Director Frank Broyles last week to discuss concerns about the direction of the football program.

The meeting centered on whether Arkansas offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn will get more say in how the offense is run, Rick Cleveland said, and if it will be more pass-oriented.

Mustain is a quarterback and Cleveland and Williams are receivers, and all three played for Malzahn at Springdale High School, where they excelled in a Spread, no-huddle offense to help the Bulldogs go 14-0 last season and win the Class AAAAA state championship.

“With our kids going to Arkansas, it’s basically like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole,” Rick Cleveland said of the offense. “When Gus came onto the scene, the very first question we would ask was, ‘Do you have full control of the offense and do you have full control of the personnel ?’ Which we were told, ‘Yes.’

“ I don’t believe Gus lied to us. But as the season has progressed, it’s very obvious that this is not Gus Malzahn’s offense and Gus does not have full control of the personnel or the play calling.

“ From our perspective — and it’s only our perspective — it seems as if you’ve been sold a bill of goods.

Arkansas runs the ball 9999 out of every 10000 plays. Why in the hell would you even consider going to a school who runs the ball if your expectation is to run the spread and be a passing QB/WR.

Didn't these kids attend a game before signing?:no6xn:

Thats friggin hillarious:laugh8kb: .

Someone should tell those parents that Alabama is looking for a new head coach. Maybe they could coach by parental committee! :yes4lo:

Wow. Parents like that pi$$ me off. Let the kids speak for themselves! If my parents barged in and started getting pissy with my coaches, I would be beyond mad.

This is kinda funny though. The dumbasses should've done some research before coming. Poor spoiled kids:sad9cd: . Now they have to go to school for free, graduate by taking classes that ask how much a three-pointer is worth, and most likely get paid for being born with physical talents not many people have.

I hate when lucky people whine. Ship 'em off to remote Africa where there is no football.

Did you miss the part where those three went there solely because Arkansas hired their high school coach?

That in itself is a crappy thing to do, but then to complain that he isn't running the right offense? Wow. Perform on the field. If Mustain would have been successful passing the ball when he played, they would have passed more.

Also, the team is 10-2. It sound to me like the parents would be happier going 2-10 and passing more. What incredible poor parenting.

I'm not on any athletic team now but I'm thinking about having my mother come in and talk to my physics professor to ask him about what direction he plans on taking the class.....absolutely pathetic...

I can't believe that Broyles even took the meeting. What a joke. Reality check parents.

Personally I think Broyles needs to go. He's old and set in his way and Arkansas needs a fresh new mind similar to the likes of JP. Get rid of Broyles and I wouldn't be surprised if Arkansas might end up in the Big XII somewhere in the future. yes, I know the SEC has a better tv package but all the Arkansas fans talk about down here is playing Texas (out of conference) and, when they played for the last time, how much they missed it.

As of Mustain, his mother has been throwing her opinion around since day one in the recruiting process and honestly, if it wasn't for her, I really think Mitch would be somewhere else. Those threatening to transfer have still shown up for practice except for one WR who is definitely transferring.

All in all I find it kind of amusing. Nutt should have ran for Nebraska when the lear was sitting on the runway.

Sounds kind of similiar to old Harrison Beck from Nebraska... Where did he end up anyways??

North Carolina St. I don't know what's worse, parents taking their griping to the media (which is what Harrison's mommy did) or directly to the AD.
