And ISU has a competent AD.
I can't imagine JP being OK with the success of (or lack there of) some of Iowa's programs. Volleyball should be FAR ahead of where it is. If UNI and ISU can be annual tournament teams, Iowa should be able to compete as well. Not to mention, Iowa plays in one of the strongest volleyball conferences.
Baseball has been mediocre for quite some time, and their facilities are located in the football bubble. Duane Banks Field is a dump, and Jack Dahm is a horrible game-day coach.
Barta was also responsible for the Lick hire, although I'll give him props for fixing that mistake before it completely wrecked the program.
I guess my biggest complaints are with volleyball, baseball, and cross country. The other programs are at least respectable (with soccer and mens golf doing pretty darn well now, actually), and field hockey is a force as usual.
