He's a solid guy who protects the ball and is unlikely to give you negative yardage, plus he is very good as a blocker. Having him in there was a good call by the coaches in that situation. Our goal was to not screw up there, and Woody is our "Don't **** up" back.

ill agree with that, not questioning the playcalling or calling out coaches. I just assumed with the first few big runs we were going for some points. Regardless 24-7 at half. Ill take that any day of the week....

lol... it was a 50 yarder... It's not like it was a chipshot. Pretty sure most CFB kickers hit on 50 yarders ~50% of the time or less...

Rhoads obviously wanted guyer to kick it. and with good reason, that 42 yarder would have been good from 55.
