More than most positions, isn't there a limit to how good you can be as a deep snapper? His release can only be so quick. His spin can only be so perfect. His location can only be so accurate. Does he really have much more room to improve? Or is this really more about not losing anything that he already has?

Probably this. I think once you get to that high level of a long snapper, it's all about consistency and adjusting to work with the kicker/holder and punter. I'm sure there's work that can be done to get a little more zip on the snaps and work on precision a little more. Maybe sort of like a higher end professional golf swing, probably not too much you can do to your swing to change the game drastically but doing it consistently.
