This is bad for the young players. They need games, they need game experience. If our competitors are playing their young guys, it means their freshman and sophomores will be more advanced than our freshmen and sophomores, at least in experience. I mean, look at our team, these guys don't know how to play, they don't know what it means to value the basketball, they have a long way to go.
I agree, if we get different and better coaching talent in the off-season the team will get better.
Questioning the ‘culture’ of a team because they’ve caught an invisible virus is beyond dumb. Lot’s of folks follow protocol but still get the virus.
I meant we can't just cancel the season. There are 7 weeks left in the season, and unless we do a horrible job of managing this, we aren't cancelling the season.
Weird how Campbell got through 11 games with 100 players. Its almost as if though they respect him and would do anything for the good of the team.
This wasn't the worst news to read. Clearly there are some things to figure out with the team and this will buy them more time to do so.
Christmas was 22 days ago, positive tests would have shown up before now. Missouri sent their football team home the same time and had cases by December 26th.
Campbell said they had positives during the season too. One football player not listening is not the same as one basketball player (assuming it is a player). And we don’t even know if it was someone who was not being safe. With this virus, we’ve seen that you can be reasonably safe and still get it.
Or we had a major issue with the Louisiana game that might have cost us a chance At the playoff. Prohm can’t hold campbell’s jock but this isn’t why.
Maybe not but there is alot circumstantial evidence teams who are horrible this year aren't taking protocols seriously
Nebraska and Penn St in the Big 10, now K State and Iowa State in the Big 12. Probably just a coincidence.
They can't practice right? How does sitting around playing video games for 2 weeks make them better than getting game experience at Kansas. If anything they will be worse when the season resumes.
They also probably got very lucky after a few reportedly did have it at some point.
If someone as detail oriented as Nick Saban got Covid, anyone can get covid.
Let's try this: let's pretend these are people that represent the school and hope for a good outcome from it health-wise.

I dont wish this on anyone but the NBA proved its possible to contain with very strict protocols. I'm not saying it can't happen to any of us, but you csn significantly tilt the odds in your favor of not getting it by doing simple things.
The NBA isn't exactly doing the greatest with Covid. Paid professionals with more resources.
