KFXA in Cedar Rapids is a Big 12 Network affiliate, they just choose to not broadcast weekday games, because - goodness - we can't miss American Idol!!!

And just to add insult to injury, KFXA actually does have a digital subchannel (28.2) where they COULD show the Big 12 Network/Iowa State game if they wanted to ... but instead, it's nonstop country music videos on that channel. Hmm, Nashville Nights or live Iowa State basketball? Such a tough choice ...

Seriously, the ownership/management of both KFXA and KGAN in Cedar Rapids are total dipwads (yep, operated by the same people). Their news department is awful, their local involvement is terrible, and they're just lazy (probably can't afford to have somebody in the control room to switch Nashville Nights over to something else for a couple of hours).

Everyone in the area should call the stations and complain. The heck with internet contests, let's change this instead.

I'm a non-Mediacomm subscriber in Eastern Iowa and I won't get the game.

Basically no one in Eastern Iowa outside of Cedar Falls will get the game.

Mason City is in Eastern Iowa. Big 12 Network gives better exposure than ESPNU, can't be helped that Cedar Rapids/Waterloo TV stations suck.

Fingers crossed for ESPN3. If not, then time for blurry-vision firstrow feed. Which is acceptable but shouldn't have to resort to that.

I guess technically it is east of the mythical Iowa Great Divide....so....Nevada is also in Eastern Iowa????

BTW...the TCU game was on a local Quad City channel a couple weeks ago.
