Where's Boomer when you need him?

He'll be fine in a pro style system. Recruited/signed to OU during a weird time when Heupel was trying the ZR experiment. Loved him out of HS. Just not a fit for the ZR/Air Raid. Will do very well in a run first offense

That QB completed 90% of his passes in conference play. That is insane.

I like this offer. People are going to jump all over me but I do not think Lanning is the QB of the future. I know he is young and just learning but man there were a lot of mistakes and inaccurate passes. Jump on me if you will but he is starting out the same way Richardson did.

If I am wrong, great. Competition at all positions, especially QB, only makes people better.

We'll see. Lanning has shown me enough that I think he has potential, but you don't shut down on recruiting additional quarterbacks for any reason, unless maybe you are comfortable with your first four.

Agreed. Lanning showed an ability to run the zone read more effectively than Richardson, but he is far from a good QB. It should be an open competition this spring. Hopefully Lanning can fine tune some of his accuracy issues because I think him and Warren are a nice combo. We're still waiting on a decent QB. It's been way too long.

He does have a goofy arm motion, but has good vision and decent arm. I think he would be a perfect backup for lanning. Would be able to plug either in and run similar offence.

I don't think he's being recruited to backup Lanning. If this guy comes in he will compete for the starting job.

And our scholarship QBs for next year as of right now (without Rohach) are down to two. Lanning and DeLira.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before but what if DLC moved back to QB? I know he doesn't have experience but it adds some sort of depth.
