Title 9 has no bearing here and thus NIL isnt subject to lawsuits. Also many female athletes are doing very well being able to monetize their social media.

As the legal dept at my former company told me once:
"it doesn't matter if you have no liability or interest. it only matters if you have money. if you have money, you will get sued"

While I agree NIL is not school directed by definition, and thus not relevant to Title 9, there is millions if not billions over time at stake. Better believe someone will sue for a chunk of that, with some tortured rationalization as to why. And probably hope for a settlement...

The part I don't think a player like Young takes into consideration is his legacy. Wherever he goes he's going to be viewed as a rental at best. At Iowa state he would of been a legend if he stuck around another year then declared for the draft.

You look at the Babb brothers, DeAndre Kane, Royce White, Will Clyburn, Marial Shayok, and on and on as rentals? Your assertion is weak.

Most of these players don't see that far ahead and only see $$$/NFL. Players don't realize how valuable alumni/networking is when you leave the university, especially athletes. A good alumni base opens numerous doors, but also can land you interviews/jobs.

I can see both sides of this. Some are rentals and will never make a name, but some can prosper and leave a new legacy.

So Brockington should have stayed at Penn State

No different than a guy like Sean Foster. Suggesting Isheem will be forgotten wherever he ends up is absurd

Not one football player. Plus you're looking at coming to Iowa State where great players stick out. If he goes to UGa they'll barely remember his name after he's gone.

I mean I love Young but who was the last DB to be the face of his program? Its alot different in BBall. I think Tyrann Mathieu is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Before that it was Charles Woodson.

lol, yes, clearly the legacy rules apply differently to football. Should I have added Marchie Murdock, Andrew Mevis, and LeMichael Pettway?

We have no idea where Isheem ends up, nor what his reasoning is for taking off. Watching you try and neg your ex here is sad. If he ends up at a school like Georgia, it's because he is good enough to play for the dawgs, and will have his chance to make them remember him. Exactly like when he signed here as a high schooler.

What are your chances of getting your head caved in at work or your knee getting shredded ending all earning potential in the future?
Wow, the athletic department can't afford helmets now?

You can make your (very valid) point without resorting to hyperbole. It even makes your point stronger...

Young wont be forgotten at ISU, neve said that. Could Young grow his legacy at ISU, yes, and have his picture name on the wall. He could do the same at another university or fizzle out. Since ISU has very few NFL players in the NFL the one's who have made it have had a greater legacy.

Wow…
Looks like college football is dying faster than I thought.
I don't think college football is "dying." It's just changing really fast.

In the US, we collectively worship money and capitalism. So college athletes getting paid should not surprise us as this is what we've created folks and it's just the tip of the iceberg.

These changes are here to stay. Coaches need to figure out ways of building teams for the 21st century and they'd better get creative soon. Of course there are going to be winners and losers. We can't say "where's the loyalty" when every cultural message is focused on money, selfishness and greed. This is just the start, folks.

I disagree with this. Eishworth is good against the run, but Young is elite. Only reason Young isn't a top 3 round draft pick is because he needs improvement against the pass.
You can disagree but you’re wrong. Young tries to make big hits. Eisworth ran the alleys and made open field tackles.

Yeah Google title 9 inequality. It is real and profound. I like you but you are a little kid with yiur reality. Litigators are coming. People that know that nil Is broken is much closer than you know.
Ps I like you efforts but you are so wrong it hurts. Like little boy stay away
Yep title 9 inequality is real. Again I asked to post a link where there is litigation for NIL against schools that hasn’t been immediately thrown out. Perhaps you are too busy throwing insults to utilize proper reading comprehension

Sure you can sue anyone for just about anything but that doesn’t mean you have grounds and that you will win. What is happing now with NIL is set up to specifically avoid title 9 issues. Now will some school screw up somewhere down the line? Sure. But I was reposting to the poster saying that lawsuits are already happening and asked for a link which no one can provide.

Typically you can get a settlement though. If they person/company has money, they typically have insurance and know what a trial would cost just to get ready so a settelment quite often happens.
