I don't know the reasons why kids leave...could be any number of things. At the end of the day, we're all sitting here typing on keyboards because our odds of making in the pros was nearly the same as theirs, only we weren't playing at their level, or at all.
IF it's the NIL piece, they'll only get a small amount for a short time...none of them are going to get rich. I hope they are all looking beyond the years of football because they'll be more like us in 5-10 years than they know.
If coaches are promising kids things they won't end up with, that's a shame...but remember, every college football program is a business, nothing more...and it's part of a bigger business that the NCAA controls...so they don't give a **** about these guys. They'll lie, cheat and steal to make the balance sheet look right and get paid...but in the end, the stats don't lie.
