I'm probably the only one on here that would actually prefer the I-State logo that we currently have over any tornado of any kind, right?
I don't mind the newer version of the Criner tornado, at least it's better than the bugle one, but I still think I prefer the I-State over anything.

You're in the minority. The tornado is a superior logo regardless of your (or my) opinion of it's aesthetics. It's graphically stronger than the block I confused by the s-t-a-t-e text. It's cleaner and uncomplicated. Look at ASU; I love the cartoon Sparky but they made the right move with their new trident logo. And I'd love to see us put a giant walking Cy on the helmet...but the tornado is still a better logo.

I like the I-State logo. Although on a helmet, it's nice to have a team name icon / logo version as an alternate. The Cyclone I've been showcasing isn't one that I did, but it is a great update to the 80's version.
Even though rough as you say, this could be our best looking helmet EVER! Why we have never done this I will never know, even in the days when we had a gold helmet and that logo we didnt use it and it is glorious!!
Somehow we need to petition the University to bring this logo back and use it as an official logo! They can keep the I-State Too but this one needs to be an Alternate, not just a retro one.

Come back when Iowa switches to their own uniform. Stole the Steelers and the crazy thing is.... they’re ugly!
