These figures are actually from the 2007-08 season, not the current one. This past season we had 19 home games with a total attendance of 227,338. That comes out to an average of 11,965 people per game. I would be suprised if we made the top 25 for attendance this year.

Only two other schools in the Big 12 would even be close to 12,000 a game with basketball of this quality - Kansas and maybe Oklahoma State.
We need our program to rise up to the level of the fan support that it enjoys. Real quick.

Evan though Iowa State had an off year they are still ranked 23 in the country for attendance levels.

Attendance for Big 12 games was actually off about 1600 per game from last year.
Even more troubling, was that the announced attendance, which is tickets sold, was much higher than the actual attendance.
Thousand of sold tickets were never used.
People flat out stopped coming to the games near the end of this season.

A lot of people weren't exactly showing up in non-conference play though either...

No one has fan support for less than spectacular winning records than Iowa State sports...doesn't really effect me, some people say if you don't like the product, stop going until they win - I hate that attitude and think nothing could be worse especially for College teams. Someday Iowa State fans support will be rewarded. I would have trouble if my teams fanbase ever fell to those Colorado-like #'s.

The real issue with attendance being way down. Is that revenue is going to be way down.
The drop in revenue just for the Big 12 games had to be over a quarter of a million dollars.

Al ot of tickets were bought before they started playing. The delta between paid and actual attendance had to be in the top 20% in the nation.
