Just looking at the surface strategy wise I think ISU should really try to control the pace. We are a good half court team with Niang. Iona runs because they have too. If we force them to play defense that sucks the energy and legs to run later in the game.
Slowing it down limits the possessions thus puts more value on getting good looks due to less opportunities.

Curious what your source is for this. According to the NCAA team sheets they are 2-3 against the RPI 51-100. 2 wins against Monmouth. They are 2-1 against Siena which is RPI 104. If you add that it would be 4-4. Maybe your source miscalculated Siena as a top 100 team. Either way, count me as unimpressed.
