Just to clarify for everyone, the OP was giving a compliment in Jayhawk language. Sometimes it can be a bit hard to read, write and speak Jayhawk. Having lived in Lawrence, I understand the confusion.

This is the anti-TwoCoach.
Funny. I have said the same thing all year that I respect Hoiberg and the great job he's doing at ISU. ISU has a great team this year and I hope Hoiberg stays and the rivalry continues at this level for a long time. And I like McKay a lot, he's a beast. As for 'KU recruited him" if they did it's news to me and every other KU fan I know so I doubt anyone is mad we missed on him if they didn't know we were trying to get him. Maybe they went up to watch him play, I have no idea. Never saw him on any recruiting radars for KU and I pay pretty close attention. Hogue is the only ISU player I'd put on my "don't really like" because he's pretty chippy. All in all, I hope ISU does pretty good in the tourney and reps the Big 12 well.

Not funny at all, you just did it again Tuco. Its crazy to suggest ISU stole a prospect from KU, right?

No, it's just odd for KU to have recruited a player and I didn't hear something about it or see anything about it when searching for it. Like it or not, when Kansas coaches show up in a gym to recruit a player it gets reported on the internet somewhere. These kids like to have it be known that they are getting looked at by the big names in the sport. That wouldn't go unreported. I will happily and easily believe it if I read it from a legit source.

This has been an extremely civilized thread and I enjoyed reading it.

About to go off the rails in 3....2....1....

I would not echo any of the things said in Op about Kansas.

They hate McKay because they don't have a player that can match him and this

Absolutely right. This year, WE have the dominant big man, whereas that has always been their advantage. Oh yeah, next year as well. :)

KU didn't recruit McKay. That poster that suggested it was just making a guess.

McKay will be pretty good next year indeed. Hopefully KU pulls a few bigs out of the late recruiting period. I love Lucas and he's a great player to have coming off the bench but he isn't at the level needed to be our starter yet. Maybe he'll get there at some point but he isn't there yet.

Because I can't hate Iowa State.

I know you beat us twice and are PROBABLY the better team this year, so the hate should flow. But it just ain't there.

I Like your coach (class act). Like your players (except
McKay), and respect what ISU has done.

Could you help me out and ****** it up a little? Try to be more like Mizzou?

I would appreciate it.

Good luck in the tournament. I have you going far.

And looking forward to next year.

Just wait, you're Jayhawk brain is telling you it can't continue like this but after a couple more years of getting beat downs and maybe even losing some recruiting battles you will come to hate us.

Does KU have any players we as ISU fans really dislike? Brandon Greene kind of rubs me the wrong way but there are other Big12 players that I dislike more. I'm not a fan of Alexander but I imagine many KU fans aren't either.

Ru Crazy? Lucas is horrid. Im thankful KU has so many guys coming back next year. Bring on the Graham, Greene, Lucas of the world.

Nobody on KU scares us. ISU scares KU fans more than KU scares ISU fans. Thats awesome. You could see it at the Big 12s.

I've met Roy Williams and that guy is impossible to hate, so my ill will is directed at the KU program. Taking down UNC last year was mighty nice though.

I'm a Roy-hater from way back (yeah, the Heinrich/Collison thing) but he was very complimentary of us last year after the ISU/NC game. And always has been. I can see him being a good guy. Most coaches are.

Good grief. ISU scares KU fans? You act like Kansas has never played against other teams with good players. Kevin Durant is literally the ONLY opposing player that I have ever looked at in a match up against KU and thought "Oh, god, I hope that guy doesn't kill us today". And that roster of horrid players won the conference again.

I can definitely see how others can hate Georges. He comes up big in big games, he's one of those players that feels like he's been on the team for a decade and he loves talking trash.

I also get Hogue for some similar reasons.

I also understand why OSU can hate Naz.

Outside of that, I don't know why you could hate McKat or anyone else on this team, at least for anything other than their play.

The only thing I don't like about McKay is that he has taken Hogue's habit of putting his hands up and questioning every foul he ever gets called for. At some point you just kinda have to admit that sometimes you foul guys. There's nothing wrong with it. But he is a fantastic player who plays with great energy and is fun to watch.
