Whooaaaa.. Did you watch these teams??? They fired up alot of ill advised 3's also. Problem was, they rebounded. Stinson and Blalock couldn't hit a 3 to save their lives but still shot them. And alot of them. We had people willing to rebound including our guards.

They also played fast and loose... I don't recall the team passing it around a ton. Just alot of driving down the lane creating the oportunity to pass out to an open person. They didn't play a pass offense, it was all run and gun.

Well, I used a comparative in my original paragraph, not a qualitative. There's a huge difference.

I actually remember the team passing around...they also moved when they didn't have the ball a liitttle bit more (comparative).

Now, all besides the fact, rebounding is by far one of the most important parts of the game. I hope to GOD greg is somehow working HARD on this (and FT shooting).

or it could be the intelligence of the players. I'm not sure

Absolutely fantastic.

You guys are something else.

I have never experienced people that are so willing to tear down college students.

The fact that some are even comparing Gmac to Morgan should tell you something about our coach. Definitely has not lived up to expectations.

The difference was 2 guards that could take it to the hole, could create shots for others and themself, were physical, and score points. Dont forget Homan's leadership toughness and the fact he worked his *** off.

Yeah, Homan worked his *** off. The guy went from a nobody to doing very well in Big 12 play. Tell me how someone who already has the talent can't do that? Inspire them to do it.

Just because you have the talent doesn't mean you'll automatically produce. You still have to WORK for it and they are, but I don't know...something seems awry somewhere.

With no NIT how does McD keep his job? At some point he has to realize his job is at stake and get this team fired up.

I wonder the same thing. There are way too many blind supporters because he is a 'nice Iowa guy'.

Sorry, let me rephrase that and I didn't mean overall intelligence. I meant "Basketball Intelligence."

I can't actually tell you how overall intelligent someone is by how they play basketball. But I can tell you what their basketball IQ is.

Wow, just wow.

I assume you're on your way to Miami right now?

Pacific Palisades is in California....BCS game is in Pasadena, Miami???? are you kidding me...to watch Iowa?? dude...get a clue...ISU basketball sucks...when you realize that and realize a change is coming....then you will understand the fustrations that a lot of fans have on here. I am guessing you are a fan and this has not sunk into you yet. McD all the way, no matter what he produces...its McD or bust

SO what have you sen this team improve on since the start of the season?

Houston is a team that has a -13.0 average in rebounding, are a smaller team than ISU, yet they are pretty much even with ISU in the first half. Pretty pathetic for a team whose coach is supposed to be a "big man" coach.

Brackins is soft and lazy. He would rather be outside for a 3 than battle inside for the boards or 2 point baskets and trips to the line.

This team should be improving by now, but we are still seeing the same problems we have seen all year........that is not good coaching people. Sorry, but it isn't.

I don't understand what is so wrong with that statement... This team has not shown it can compete with Big 12 teams yet, a win against Houston doesn't change that.

Guess I don't see why people feel it necessary to do nothing but dog this team. Saying he'll continue to attack our players until they show we will get to the NCAAs seems pretty pathetic.

YOUR so confident that ISU will win....any reason you did not bet on ISU on this game???

Hi, my name is reading comprehension. Where in that statement was I talking about us winning?

I wonder the same thing. There are way too many blind supporters because he is a 'nice Iowa guy'.

I am as big of a Mac guy as their is but if there is no post season this year it is time for a change.

Seems like all of the successful Iowa State teams have had those guys that busted their tail and played way better than anyone expected they would. I can't think of anyone you could say that about during the McDermott era.

They did pass the ball around alot on the break, and coming off the drive. It wasn't like a stationary offense where you pass it 3 or 4 times to beat the zone. They drove alot, dished to someone slashing and that is what you got.

Hopefully they stop making every shot they throw up.

Also wtf was that guy from houston thinking throwing that shot up behind his head?
