That is about right because I don't think it stands for this anymore:

The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. The Heisman Trophy Trust ensures the continuation and integrity of this award. The Trust, furthermore, has a charitable mission to support amateur athletics and to provide greater opportunities to the youth of our country. Our goal through these charitable endeavors is for the Heisman Trophy to symbolize the fostering of a sense of community responsibility and service to our youth, especially those disadvantaged or afflicted.

How come Manziel gets a pass on two losses, including one where he threw multiple interceptions, but Klein doesn't?

b/c his losses were to two top 8 teams with top 5 defenses?

klein laid an egg against bar none the worst defense in college football

no comparison brah

Most of those came to mind but it is mind boggling thinking that Newton won his during the same time as his scandal. I think the heisman committee should probably think about revoking a few more heismans.

Com'on, Johnny fits right in: Texas A&M Aggies freshman QB Johnny Manziel arrested - ESPN

They've got a nice, slow legal system down in TX, too, apparently the charges are still pending?

I love Johnny Football , but I find it hard to give a Kid the Heisman after going 1-2 vs teams that finish ranked in the top 25.

Pretty sure Te'o and Klein were squeaky clean guys with no drunken brawls with cops. Must have been their downfalls.
