I know I'm going to get ripped for this but does anyone watch Grey's Anatomy?

Is there any possible way that Meredith is REALLY dead!? I can't believe they would kill her off.

I get forced into watching this show by the gf and my personal thoughts are it belongs as a daytime soap opera or at least back on Sunday nights so I don't have to painfully sit through it for an hour a week.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure they are not going to kill off the main character Grey. What are they going to call the show after that, McSteamy's Anatomy?

No way they kill off the lead character. She'll come through at the end of the episode next week.
I'm not a medical professional, so someone out there help me out. Is it possible to survive when your body temperature is down to 80 degrees?

What's his nuts needs to go back to his ex-wife anyway (Addison I believe) She's much hotter than Meredith.

I would think so. I thought I heard on that Fred Hoiberg special on IPTV earlier this week about heart health that when they do open heart surgury they bring your body temp down to about 70 degrees? Something like that I thought.

Last night was very annoying...especially the ending.

It doesn't look good for Meredith, that's for sure.

They didn't show any of the rescues. I wanted to see them get Meredith out of the water and how they would get that guy out from under the car.

I don't think anyone will rip on you Architect. At least not anyone that is also forced to watch the show by a significant other. I assume that's your issue, correct? It's really a pleasant way to spend the evening, watching some chick take a power drill to a mans skull.

The closer called next weeks episode a devastating conclusion. I believe someone dies or there will be some fallout, but Grey isn't going anywhere (unfortunately).

Everyone's back from the scene right? Meredith is the only one that could die right now unless George gets an STD causing instant death from Callie.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! They never explained her ability to swim, or not, and if Shephard can jump in and just carry her out, how could she not just get over to the same spot? Just ridiculous all around... And show them lifting the car off the guy...

I too will lose guy card on knowing this, unfortunately, but I too have my wife to blame for watching this every Thursday.

The sad thing is... our significant others make us watch this, and we get hooked. I would have never thought last year I would be posting in a forum about this show. If we make our girls watch a sporting event or a war special on the history channel, do you think they start a thread on a forum???

THANK YOU! Finally, a voice of reason. This show definitely belongs amongst the daytime soaps. I HATE THE SHOW. Last night while my wife was watching it, I kept cheering for her to die.....haha.

I can't believe this is actually a posted topic on Cyclone Fanatic....probably the lowest day for the site in it's one year glorious existance.

FYI: the show is named after a real book used by first year med students during their "gross anatomy" course......not named for the doctor...I think the writers were just trying to be clever.

Please excuse me while I go puke!

See... my wife also insists we buy season tickets and travel from Denver to Ames for football games (not that we wouldn't do it anyway, its just easier with her support), so I take the good with the bad. As it is, I'm a cyclone fan who happens to watch Grey's Anatomy.

Trust me, I point out the dumb things every night I have to watch this show. Come on, the lady who had to drill into the guy's skull was an emotional train wreck for how long recently and all the sudden everyone else can't keep their cool under pressure and she's the only one thinking straight? Grey not being able to tread water? About the only hope I have for catching something on that show is for that 1 intern to just take the hot red head in a linen closet or something.

The show is so far from reality at times its just painful to watch but yet for some reason the women we love think it's the greatest show on TV right now. Maybe as a compromise I should force her to watch an old episode of The Man Show for every Grey's show. :biggrin9gp: I guess she doesn't mind Family Guy and South Park so that might not faze her either...

I admit that I'm hooked. My fiance got me hooked last season. I really wish it was on Sunday nights though. Thursday is packed with shows that I watch. Thank god for the DVR.

Actually, in a drowning situation you have a better chance of survival with a body temp of 80 degrees because your body uses less oxygen when you are cold. Therefore you will have less brain damage when you are being deprived of oxygen while under water.

I realize that but how low can a body temp be before death?

This show is one of the many reasons I have my own HD TV in the lower level of the house! And my TV is real close to the bar!
