I'm assuming Europe has carnivals just like us (except it's probably brie-on-a-stick instead of Twinkies). All they had to do was take Lucca past one of those Fool the Guesser dudes and they knew his new weight (unless they were wrong and Lucca now has a cool stuffed animal).
