On the radio today they said he had 20 points in 20 minutes of play. When was that?

Diallo looks great in pick up games like he did last year in the all star games. Problem is he lacks zero bball IQ on either end of the floor. That's what kept him out of games. He didn't know the offensive plays or what to do on defense. But he runs the floor great and is athletic and has a high motor.

There are probably several NBA teams that are not buying this KU line. Keep it up though.

I heard a Tracy McGrady interview a few months ago and he was dismissing the idea that there is any defense being played in the NBA as ridiculous. Not just as one of these old cranks complaining about the rule changes and lack of physicality allowed on defense now, but as in there was never much defense since he came into the league almost 20 years ago. I don't know if I buy it, but I was shocked at how dismissive he was at the idea of even serviceable defense in the NBA. Then again, he says some dumb things on Twitter, so maybe he should just be ignored.

That is the same guy that talked down Steph Curry's unanimous MVP because today's NBA is "watered down". I think his two lazy eyes are starting to take a toll on his brain.

Niang went 4-11 from the field for 10 points and 5 rebounds. Doesn't sound like an amazing day, though in the game there were people who fared worse or not much better as far as shooting goes. Gary Payton II was 3-11, Kyle Wiltjer was 5-15, and Daniel Hamilton was 3-8. On the other team, Ron Baker was 3-10, Isiah Cousins was 3-9, and Melo Trimble was 4-10.

Cool, they have updated the stats since I originally posted the link. I didn't see the dunk.

Diallo was matched up on Uthoff a bit in the second half. Uthoff tried to box him out, but he rose up over him, snagged the rebound, put it in left handed as he was fouled by Uthoff.

At the risk of turning this into a Uthoff thread his measurables really aren't that great. He has a slightly better vert and reach than Georges but he's not really much faster, they're the same speed in a 3/4 court fast break. I seriously doubt he'll be stronger when they do the bench test and a 5th year senior isn't going to get a lot stronger.

He could still get drafted but his measurables were exaggerated, he's not top half for swing men in athleticism and that's what he'd need to be because he is not physically or mentally tough enough to play the 4 at the next level.

Man if that was Woodbury he would have rejected Diallo, done back hand springs down the floor, passed it to himself off the back board and 360 dunked with only his feet. Can't believe he's so under rated.

It's interesting the interviews are basically to make sure the player is a normal balanced person. I hope I run into Georges in LA while he's here :)
