Re: Fun With Photoshop... Endzone Style (Update 2/13)

Bored at work again, and with the new info of the south end zone expansion likely to take place plus extra time I decided to play around with photoshop to get an idea of what the expansion *might* look like.

Of course this isn't official or anything... just some fun!

Enjoy.

I couldn't find a good pic of an empty upperdeck to use to make JTS Endzone4 so I'm not too happy with that one.

2/13 UPDATE: New pictures added featuring the aerial view with one deck and another aerial picture of one deck but looking from the south also featuring a new video board.

Very nice. Only problem is that we'd basically have to have the largest demand for luxury boxes in the country to make that happen. Unless we built it simply for aesthetic purposes and put some kind of athletic offices in there, which isn't a horrible idea.

Genius!! No one needs to know what's on the other side of the windows...

I don't understand how you can have roughly 30 if not more weeks, but then specify that it will take one week into the season to finish. You can't start one week early or maybe, god forbid, hustle a little bit with the construction?

I would agree with you, and I've heard nothing about a commitment to the week it will be done. The assumption is that it will not be done by the start of the season because the work should've already begun to make that happen. Plus if you had an original 20-week plan, or whatever it was, and they find variables that extend the plan, it just gets tacked on to the late start date. Not sure they even have a start date, let alone a projected completion.

I'd rather have 60,000 fans at $20/ticket than 30,000 fans at $40/ticket.. its a no brainer. I think if you build it, and wet their whistle, Iowa State could have a full stadium.

Could you imagine 60,000 fans at $50 a ticket?

i don't think the scoreboard will ever be facing south like that. too much glare off the sun.

everything else was cool

Got bored again. Just can't wait until this actually happens!

Enjoy!

Courtesy to Google Earth.

Awesome work! I could handle that scoreboard setup. Seems logical that the concessions/restrooms would line up like that. I do think that they'll have some sort of plaza around the south gate and blacktop paths going up the hillside like they have now on both the north and south sides.

i gotta say, with the scoreboard above the Jacobson building and the bowled in endzone, JTS would have a somewhat unique look. I know it's similar to West Virginia's stadium, but it just feels really unique. love it!
