We'll never widen the press box.

Why? The giant press boxes you see at other schools are home to their donor/club suites. Ours sit between the upper and lower decks. We just have no purpose for expanding. There's nothing to do with that space.

They'll put luxury suites on the east side like the west side before they go expanding the press box.

Nice work.

As others posted, No. 3 is realistic and Nos. 1 & 2 are amazing but hard to fathom.

What I like about 3 is, it's still good-ol' Jack Trice, but doesn't look like the construction crew walked out 80 percent of the way through.

On the balance between pipe-dream and feasible, I actually prefer 3 to 2 — that upper-deck gap is sort of, well, gappy.

No. 4 doesn't seem like a huge bump over 3, either. I almost prefer keeping it at one deck and de-grassifying the north end somehow.

not to rain on the parade, but is there anyway ISU actually can fill that? Outside of the Iowa game every 2 years? I was at the Mizzou game this year, with a bowl bid on the line and we had 20K butts in the stadium.

However great work, the pics are awsome.

Last year's Mizzou game might not be the best example. That game was cold as ****. And the 20k fans in their seats was at the end of the game, after 60 minutes of the team being destroyed by mizzou, once all but the most determined of fans had realized that the season was over.

Hyperbole much?

Attendance was poor for that game, but there were 2 times that many people there.

Creighton used to average 6k fans per game, then they built the Qwest Center... now they sell out at 16k. If you build it (and sell alcohol) they will come. Just gotta make sure the price is right ticket-wise, concessions, and with the overall experience.

so are they not allowed to sell alcohol at JTS? if they could they would make sooo much more money than they do for concessions.

Im pretty sure any can sell if they want, its up to the university\state. Just not at NCAA championship events.

I'd rather have 60,000 fans at $20/ticket than 30,000 fans at $40/ticket.. its a no brainer. I think if you build it, and wet their whistle, Iowa State could have a full stadium.
