Guess Georges and Naz should have gone frosted tips....since they basically didn't show up.

I think it has more to do with them pretending like they didn't have to show up to win. They literally played their worst game of the season today. We can only hope that this humbles them going into next season. If not, well, you know.

Morris and McKay played a good game. I'm not pinning this loss on them or their tips. They had some teammates that didn't though.

The thing is, how many "hopefully this humbles them" games do they freaking need? You'd think losing to TT, having to claw from 21 down against OU, comeback vs Texas, etc, etc would humble them & make them realize they need to give 100% effort. But it didn't seem like those moments really got through to them. Super frustrating.

Hogue changed his hair last year and we lost

We were ranked #9

Obama picked us to advance

It's a conspiracy :jimlad:

Stop this thinking, we are not the Cubs and there isn't some goat. Unless you are talking about our lack of energy, hustle, and will to want to rebound the ball. UAB exploited weaknesses that have been there all year. We lost 9 games and had to have some crazy stuff go our way to win some of the victories that could've been losses along the way. We aren't Kentucky and couldn't afford to take a game/team lightly. Just disheartening knowing we didn't learn from games like TTU down in Lubbock before March arrived.

We are ISU. It is who we are. If they did not learn the lesson about showing up before today, they will not get it without a player refresh.

We couldn't shoot and UAB's defense and rebounding kept us from ever getting in a rhythm offensively to get a run going. That was pretty much the tale of the game imo.

Sad truth, but I think we learned where the fine line is with bringing in talented transfers. We were over that line this year.

Definitely the #9 ranking. To make matters worse, that number has been my least favorite number all my life. Just hate it and always have. Doesn't have a good feel to it.

Yes, the frosted tip did cause us to lose. Because the frosted tips represent how we thought UAB would lay down for us and we'd just GET to advance. We've been playing with fire all year and the lack of discipline on offense has been a problem this staff needs to address. We could have put these guys away early, they sucked, but instead our offense decides to have McKay fire up a 12 ft jumper, 5 turnovers after dribbling into triple teams and trying to force a bullet from 3 ft away to Mckay, etc, so we let UAB back in the game and gave them confidence. Same song and dance as when we played South Carolina, Texas Tech and K-State. Sure, the open offense is a good thing but it still has to have some discipline and I hope this is fixed cause it cost us a league Championship this year and obviously the Dance.

Unfortunately humbleness doesn't mean crap in sports. You can be humble and win, you can be humble and lose. I get that every fan base thinks "it's all about what we did" but sometimes you just lose. You could not dye your hair, you could be humble, you could have learned from all of your previous mistakes, and still lose. Unless you are UK so far this season or Indiana 1976.

Saw the tips and knew we were screwed. Every time this team got caught up in their hype they stunk the court up. At least they looked pretty doing it.

This reminds of me of the fans that think if only they would have worn their lucky shirt. The hair thing is about as relevant as saying if only Jameel wouldn't have taken that dump before the game things would have been different.
