carvers4math, seriously? Out of all of the god awful terrible songs up there you picked Queen?

BR doesn’t seem as overrated as we get further away in time from “Wayne’s World.†But it’s overrated within Queen’s “greatest hits†collection.

It has endured better than a few, such as “Bicycle Race†(disposable without its lyrical crossover with “Fat Bottomed Girlsâ€), “Play the Game†and “Flash.†Bohemian Rhapsody is overrated compared to “We Will Rock You,†“You’re My Best Friend†and “Another One Bites the Dust.â€

It’s on equal level with “We Are the Champions.â€

Queen is an “anthem†band whose under-saturated highlights went off-****** (“Crazy Little Thing Called Love,†“Body Language†and “Under Pressure,†for example — although “UP†is like 70/30 Bowie vs. Queen).

I think AC/DC is a bit overplayed, but I'd never put them on a most annoying list. They've been kicking *** since well before we were born.

However - AC/DC has always rocked. And I have to agree with Cyclnst8 - the Stones should have broke up a long time ago.

I'm not completely sure they are under-rated. They are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and they had some very successful and high selling records.


I WOULD agree that a lot of people, specifically younger American people, don't know enough of their catalogue. Freddy Mercury was one of the most proficient and talented vocalists of all time. Combine that with the musical talents and wonderful variety of styles of their songs and they should be considered one of the best bands ever.

I really want to know what people hate about Bohemian Rhapsody.

Happy's only redeeming value is that Weird Al did a parody of it.

I admit I'm not familiar with her country catalog, so I can't compare. "Shake it Off" is ear-candy and a candidate for "Oversaturation Top 40." But it's also ear-candy at its finest.

Songs that your 4-7 year old finds awesome can SAFO too.

Okay, guys, annoying OR overplayed (could be both as well). I get the great divide over Bohemian Rhapsody. It is a good song, but if you have not heard it just shy of a million times, you're lying to yourself.

So far Hotel Cali tops the list here for me so far. Some songs I get tired of from overplay but Cali I hated right out of the gates.
