Today's crop of rappers are the worst ever. If this is where hip hop/rap music is headed, might as well declare it dead.

Was just thinking this yesterday. Rap is ******* awful now. And none of it serves any purpose in the lyrics. At least some rap used to have a message.

Then you have rappers like Logic, Dizzy Wright, Ab Soul, Q (to an extent) Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad, Yg keeping the game alive.

Meh. Nobody outside of a big rap following knows who most of those people are. They may be great, they may put out a message, but if no one knows them, they're not keeping the game alive, really. Or maybe they are, but only by not pulling the plug on life support.

Agreed! Never Gonna Give You Up is my drunk karaoke anthem!

Bohemian Rhapsody might be overplayed, but it is also one of the best songs of all time, IMO.


Pink Floyd songs get overplayed by rock stations IMO.

I guess I'll be the first to throw out anything by Maroon 5 typically gets overplayed. And "All About That Bass"
