I would cut UofMemphis some slack. His/her team only lost to the National Champions before they faced ISU.
For the record I think it is great that UCF declared themselves National Champions. Screw the elitist 4 team playoff. People get upset about the 1%; football fans should be upset about the 3%.

Where did I say it was based on one game? What's Memphis's resume? Why are they ahead of ISU?
And we played more than 2 teams with a pulse all season as well.
Nice recognition of the Cyclones' schedule and quality wins. Only 8 win team to make the final power rankings.

Its pretty well documented that the AAC has the WORST defense in the nation. You have 2 teams that get decent football players..then they play the rest of your conference, which consists of DIII football players...and no wonder you put up insane numbers through conference play...Then you play a real football team, and get put in your place. Also, it's ironic how the AAC doesnt recognize the ranking system unless it benefits them. Case in point- your D-bag counter part- UCF- crown themselves national champions..lol such a Florida move.the AAC finished with three ranked teams, one of them undefeated Peach Bowl champs...but OK
Anything that draws extra attention to the huge flaws in the ludicrous play off is okay by me.
He will come back with his own computer generated poll on how Iowa's strength of schedule was a lot tougher than ours and about how they won their Superbowl in head to head competition and so on and so on. He he is just like the Rag.. If you ever notice the Rag never put the words "loses", "lost" type of words when Iowa gets beat. They always put something like "...sneeks past Iowa" "...dooms Iowa", "...escapes Iowa", . Iowa just never seems to lose in either's eye's.
So, if UCF is the national champion, then we beat the runner-up in our bowl game!

Steve Batterson from Davenport didn't put Iowa State or the TOE in his Top 25.
I'm not going to belly-ache about being ranked 28th. Here are the only ISU teams that finished higher since 1970:
2000: 25th
1978: 22nd (poll was top 20 at the time)
1976: 19th

That's fine but it'd be nice to know why we're outranked by Memphis & Stanford. I don't find that sort of inquiry to be belly-aching since it's an honest question.
And wouldn't you want to add 2017 to this list?
