Wrote a column on tonight's win over the Longhorns, which will help Iowa State's seeding in both Kansas City and the NCAA's:

Nice article on the women's team as they crushed the Longhorns on their home court. Coach Fennelly and his staff have done an absolutely fantastic job coaching this year and making adjustments to find the right combinations at the right time. That is coaching 101!! This team was dealt a major blow with the health issue for Madison Wise. The staff did the right thing and didn't rush her back. That absence afforded more minutes for Johnson, McGraw, and Thurman. Each of them has had great moments and struggled as well. The staff has been like a conductor asking each of them to contribute at the right moment. Johnson's 3 last night stopped a major Texas threat and Thurmon simply blew by Longhorn defenders causing them to change their spacing to guard against ISU 3s. Pay too much attention to our perimeter players and Fennelly will throw the ball inside to his two absolute studs in Joens and Scott. These two epitomize who Iowa State fans want wearing their uniform! Grit and grace! Pick your poison to stop this charging train right now, do, and this staff will make adjustments. Good coaching is fun to watch. Keep it up Cyclones!

Was for sure a ticket puncher for March like you wrote. Now firmly off the bubble with other teams in the Big 12 folding up. Some of the other Big 12 bubble teams are playing themselves out of March play. Might only be 4 Big 12 in at the end. ISU can play themselves up to a better seed over the next six conference games. Great opportunity here with Scott looking more like conference play Scott of last year and Wise back for some depth. And, of course, Joens doing Joens stuff.

As much as ISU fans like to talk scoring and all, our defense seems to have kicked up a notch over the last 3 games (59, 63, 51) starting with Camber on Gray vs. OSU. Only really ugly over those games is the crazy number of turnovers.

When you look at the upcoming schedule I only see one game that I don’t expect a win.

As VeloClone said, TCU won't be a picnic. Look for that game to be a bit of a slugfest - I'll write about that tomorrow after availability.

West Virginia at home will be tough as well, but at least this time around Joens probably won't be in as bad of foul trouble as she was in.

But yes, definitely winnable games, as they were the first time they played both of those teams. Difference is the Cyclones have started hitting shots down the stretch.
