If you are like me you officially have the itch to start this season. August is just days away and we're a mere 37 days away from the kickoff to this 2010 season. I was looking through the schedule and there's a few games that stood out to me and have me absolutely pumped. So what game is it that you are most excited for? (asterisk indicates home game)

I went with Utah mainly because it's not often we play a team like this at home for us to enjoy. Then there's the chance we win the game and improving our odds of making a bowl game.

Maybe the last time ISU plays Nebraska -- ever (I don't believe this as ISU will probably meet them in a mid-level bowl since Nebraska will be in the middle of the Big 11 every year). Definitely last conference game vs. NU. And it is at JTS.

Iowa - like every other year.

And judging from the team's reaction to Clayborn's comments, I'd say the players will be pretty jacked up too:

"In case anyone forgot about Clayborn's comment that "we're the only team in the state, as far as I know," it's posted in the Iowa State locker room serving as motivation for a Sept. 11 game at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.

'As you could expect, someone's put it up,' Parker said at a Big 12 Conference football media session Monday. 'That was to be expected.

'It actually went up a day or so after he said it, but I think most of us already knew what he said. It spread (among the team) pretty quickly "

I gotta agree. The last NU conference game combined with it being in Ames makes it huge. I am just hoping we are in a position where a win against NU solidifies our Bowl prospects.

I get around
cant wait to send them away with 2 losses against the mighty CLONES
There are only two teams in the whole country that have the chance to send Nebraska out of the Big 12 with two consecutive losses in their last two years in the Big 12 and those two are Iowa State and Texas. There is only one team that can send Nebraska on their way with two consecutive regular-season game losses in their last two years in the Big 12 and that is us. That would be great to say the least. To do that would make up a little bit for all of the beat downs we have suffered over the years at the hands of those blank, blanks.

I chose CU... it will be the 5th and final trip for my posse to Boulder. We have enjoyed taking the RV out each year, stoppin at Ole's Big Game Bar and Grill in Paxton, NE and the party at the Harvest House pre and post game. We also have a new favorite, Bobbie B's Lounge in Crook, CO. Had a flat on trip #2 on the RV and had to spend a few hours there, it has been a 1 beer stop ever since.

im excited for the CU game cause i actually get to go to it. im gonna be in vegas for our first game so that should be fun to watch at the sports book with some fellow IA staters. Of course the iowa game the next week will be awesome as well, its been tradition for my whole crew to go to the sports column in denver and berate the hawk fans for the past 6 years.

The fact that Iowa is tied for third makes me happy that we don't put such an emphasis on beating Iowa anymore.

Utah. I think we beat them and keep chances at 6-6 alive!

We will win one game this year we aren't supposed to.
We will lose one game we should win. (UNI, NIU, CU, KSU, KU)
