Hearing about the timeline between his last game at Toledo and the first week at ISU was pretty interesting. Especially the interview with JP, really accentuates the importance of announcing CPR's firing a week before the season ended.

I remember when it happened.

I left for BWI towards the middle of the fourth quarter of the KSU game. Figured we had the old cat in the bag. Finally. Well, we know how that worked out.

I was dumbfounded on the way there to find out WE FOUND A WAY TO LOSE.

One of those "we are Iowa State" sorts of moments.

Next day, Sunday, after coming back to Iowa for the holiday, I was driving between Boone and Ames when my phone prompted me we had let Rhoads go.

It was not a surprise, but still a shock, especially before the last week.

I am sad that last Morgantown game did not go better for the team, though.
