So, we have been playing a lot of board games of late and was wondering what everyone's favorite board games are.

My top 2:
1) Monopoly
2) Risk

I also loved playing Stratego back in the day...We have played monopoly about 6 times in the last week and just bought the new Risk game tonight and played it. However, I liked the old risk game with troops, horses, and cannons. The new version just has little plastic arrows as troops.

I like risk and monopoly.

My favorite though is Axis & Allies. I have not played it forever but I love it. I also like Shogun and Conquest of Empires.

I played another game once and liked it. I hope I am close, Cascone?

Has anyone ever heard of a board game with Tasmanian devil or something like that in it? I think I played it as a little kid, and some point during the game you spin up tasmanian and he spins down the mountain and can knock you off the path and you have to restart...anyone remember this?

You're talking my language. I haven't heard of Cascone though.

Also Auto Wars.

Settlers of Catan is crazy fun. Risk is good stuff too. Monopoly is a family tradition for me.

1. Michagan Rummy (but it's a card game)
2. Aggravation
3. Apples to Apples (but it's more of a card game)
4. Battleship (but we can't play that anymore since I always win :) )

How can you choose just one??

Catchphrase, Trivial Pursuit, SceneIt, Scattergories, Cranium and BuzzWord are all fun. The trivia games are my favorite, I have never been good at the strategy games.

i actually just played settlers of catan for the first time last night and i highly recommend it. very easy to learn, yet it is at the same time very deep. great, great game.

I'm thinking about buying it now...been reading the objectives and looks fun!
