Completely agree on Vowles changing the Williams landscape.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didnt Williams (Albon) have a decent 2nd half, last yr? Will be interesting to see if that happens again, this yr.

Sounds like the Sainz deal is for one year with Sainz having an option for further years. So basically giving them a chance to show them they can improve back
To the Williams glory days

2 years, and then options.

Honestly I think if Williams gets a little bit of luck with their car and the new regs in 2026 they could be going places, they're hiring a lot of talent from top teams lately.

They have been pretty **** at making power units lately and significantly underfunded their 2026 PU development. It’ll be strange, but it’s a good choice likely.

Who do they all make power units for? Pretty sure I would like to see every team use the same engine. I know that won't happen but it would be nice.

It's going the other way. The number of engine suppliers is going up.

RB/Ford
Ferrari
Merc
Audi
Honda

It probably doesn't make sense for Renault to stay in the game and only supply a crappy team in Alpine. I don't think there is a real chance another team would pick them up in the future with the other names on that list.

Up until a few years ago they supplied 3 or 4 teams then Caterham went bankrupt, then Force India dropped them and then Red Bull tried to drop them, and then they actually dropped them but McLaren ran them for a couple years and then dropped them. Now though it's just Alpine. All the stuff I'm reading says that Renault is going to completely pull funding for F1 in the next couple years so the Alpine is likely going to be for sale soon. It could be the opening for Andretti and GM to get into F1 finally.

That would be crazy for Max to drop down to Aston. Even though they might have got Adrian, I still don't see them as a top 4 team. Max should stay with Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, or Mclaren. Those should be his main options until someone else proves they are worthy of his driving.

The next gen cars come out in 2026, so there will likely be a shakeup in the order of the top teams. I think AM has just as good of a chance as anyone to be towards the top of the pack. They're dropping a ton of money on people and facilities. Plus they're moving over to an exclusive deal with Honda for their engine supplier.
