Crap, I was hoping he was gone.

My apologies to the person I didn't believe earlier in the thread. They mentioned there were rumors a few days ago that the deal was going to fall through due to the buyout. Turns out they were right. My bad on that one!

Basically the guy wants out badly but TCU is holding him hostage for a buyout he can’t afford. Guessing that won’t end well for either party.

It'll be a negative recruiting gold mine for everyone else recruiting against TCU, that's for sure.

Wanna end up like the Pac-12 and get one or two teams in the NCAA tourney every year? Then fill your conference with crappy coaches. I never understand why people celebrate when the Big 12 loses good coaches. Beating crappy teams accomplishes nothing; nobody is impressed.
The B1G has about 4-5 pretty crappy teams...but their top 3-4 teams define the league. If the BigXIl has a bad team or two, so be it. As long as it's not ISU.

If you’re Dixon ask UCLA to split the buyout. Do anything you can to get out.

UCLA probably can't afford a buyout.

Aren't they the team who couldn't afford gloves for the whole football team from that Oregonian article?

How do you go back to TCU after that?

Same way Dana Altman went back to Creighton after the Arkansas fiasco. He actually went, was introduced, then called Creighton back and said "These people are weirdos can I have my job back". Then went back and did really good. Then went to Oregon a few years later. However, Dixon won't have any problems. He might have lost a recruit or two this season but won't in the future.
