Probably doesn't need its own standalone thread, but I don't know if we have a Big 12 football-specific thread. Maybe this could be woven into a ***official season thread*** if someone plans to start one.

Anyway, this is CBS Sports ranking of most-difficult to easiest of XII schedules for 2025.

(this graf edited) I might rank ISU a bit higher, but probably a lot of fan bias, and more I review, it's probably ranked about right. Some of the perceived more challenging are at home (or neutral), but I do think point spreads are going to be tighter than last season's. Blum/Brend/CW did line guesses on pod the other day and a lot of projections seem close to where I might put 'em.

I’ve been wanting to discuss this for a couple of weeks. It’s been said many times on here, podcasts, and articles how much more difficult this year’s schedule is. I might disagree.

My initial thought was, road schedule is not daunting.

@OSU

Our toughest games are at home or in Ireland.

The second thought is who knows? The teams we thought we wanted to avoid last year ended up being bad and the teams we were fighting for first place we didn’t have to play. Last years schedule benefitted us so it should be harder this year but I honestly do not know.

With the surge in portal transfers and rosters being purchased it's almost impossible to make assumptions like you could 5 years ago.

TCU could be a tough outing. They went 9-4 last year but had the easiest conference schedule in the Big 12. This year should be a more daunting test for them.
