I agree that there is a large level of stupidity/arrogance/stubbornness with Snyder over how long he shoots movies he simply just needs to adjust moving forward. I totally agree that the studio's Justice League mandate of 2 hours was completely stupid for a team-up comic book movie, and an overreaction in the opposite direction. However, at the same time, by his 3rd DC movie, you'd think Snyder would be smart enough to NOT keep producing 4 hour movies and then be shocked when the studio wants to cut it down to something more manageable. To add to this, when we get his still overly-long shorter cuts, they don't make sense and seem like something is missing. That is poor planning. These are not slow-burn streaming TV series, they are movies, and nobody wants to go see a 4 hour movie in the theaters for every single movie he makes. It also costs a ton more money to make that long of a movie. Therefore, on the flip side, I totally get the studio's frustrations on that front. I would be too.
