Looks like a new shakeup is occurring over at WB in leadership with the DCEU in order to course-correct after the poor reception of Batman vs Superman:

Essentially WB is now assigning two guys, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns, as creative overseers of the DCEU rather than just essentially allowing a hodgepodge of directors to determine its direction, continuity and tone. Essentially, the DCEU is finally crying uncle and now going more the route Marvel has done with one individual, Kevin Feige, overseeing the whole MCU operation. There is no doubt that this is a backpedal move after touting for a few years now that their DCEU will rival the MCU because their universe will be in the hands of a bunch of big-name creative directors rather than the corporate monster, leaving more freedom to make great movies. However, they are still saying that it will still leave a lot of creativity to the directors according to the article. Personally, I think this is a great move by WB and probably should have been this way all along. I also think they chose wisely with choosing both Berg and Johns for the role. I just hope those two don't have too much on their plate right now where they can actually do this position justice. I mean, doing this stuff is all Kevin Feige does, whereas these two will still retain a lot of their old responsibilities. I also love how WB is bringing Affleck into this mix to some extent as well, but more just on the production, directing, and creative side for the Batman portion of it. So, all in all, I don't see these things as bad things and I just hope that these are good steps towards righting the DCEU ship and that Snyder hasn't
screwed everything up beyond repair.
