Farnsy Lunardi the CF Bracketology here, the report will be coming tomorrow. I'll breakdown of how the selection committee felt with the CFUP (CF User Poll) rankings through the StrawPoll.

A tease (or if I get bored and don't do it) from this.

The #2 Seeds.
Bill Burr (StrawPoll #2 Seed, #8 rank) -
Chris Rock (StrawPoll #3 Seed, #9 rank) ^
Mitch Hedberg (StrawPoll #5 Seed, #20 rank) ^
John Mulaney (StrawPoll #8 Seed, #32 rank) ^

The #16th Seeds
Patton Oswalt (StrawPoll #6 Seed, #22 rank)
Tom Segura (StrawPoll #13 Seed, #49 rank)
Richard Lewis (StrawPoll #17 Seed, #66 rank) ^
Dustin Slay (StrawPoll #NA (31) Seed, #120 rank) ^

Hedburg, Mulaney, and biggest favor Dustin Slay from the selection committee. Mitch up from a StrawPoll #5 seed up to #2, and Mulaney from a #8 to the #2. Dustin Slay is a favorite of committee as it had 2 votes for the StrawPoll (120th rank out of like 135ish).

Oswalt and Segura didn't feel the committee thought they didn't have the resume, the StrawPoll would make them #6 and #13 seeds were they barely called their name before about last 4 out.

Those are just the numbers for the report, now I can talk about my personal thinks. I love John Mulaney so I'm happy he's a #2, but he probably should have been around the #8ish who he could do some damage for upsets later.

I don't like Patton Oswalt, so he should have been a #6 from the poll, but I say he sucks so funny he's a #16. However I love Segura, so now I'm sad he'll get killed for a #16 (sadface),

Segura was my wildcard pick so he was in danger of not making the field which is nuts as he's probably more of 7-10 seed imho. His latest special is ****ing amazing. There are probably 6-12 comics that made the field that aren't my cup of tea but it is was it is.

Bill Hicks was the winner winner chicken dinner! In the CFUP was #96 (tie) rank for could be a 24 seed, but he found it into a 6 seed in the . Sounds like someone on the committee has a bill "hickey" hicks in his own neck.

Not sure if it was his style (which I didn't care for) or his writing. Usually it is the latter. There are some comedians that blow up, but it's so hard to followup with something that keeps the momentum going. The best of the best seem to work really, really hard testing and refining their material. It helps if they are great at delivery, because some people can keep you laughing simply by the way they say things.

I think he just became kind of a cartoon character of himself and it faded quickly.

Wasn't there some story where someone really good opened up for him as just kind of a joke and they were so much better that he never recovered? Chappelle maybe?
