during the first and second quarter. Not much to stand for after midway through the second. This was my first time on the hill because I graduated and moved away and this was my first game to make it back to for the season. I thought people would get excited, especially when we were leading a top 10 team. I was sorely wrong, and got reminded of it a lot.

What did you get heckled for? Standing? If so, that sucks - you should have just found an open spot in the stands, there were several next to me.

You should have went to the student section. That's usually what I do, if I get a hillside ticket.

Heckled for standing? People need to shut up or get a knee replacement. Stand or move to the handicap section. How's that for tolerance?

that's ridiculous. If they were so concerned about having to sit down, you would think they would have sprung for seats in the stands that have backs.

There was absolutely no reason for any sit/stand arguments yesterday. Just move. That goes for both sides of the argument. Utah didn't bring many fans, so there were plenty of seats in their section.

Or, imo buy a damn seat or shut up

Hillsides are generally the home of the more casual fans so that doesn't surprise me, buy a real seat.

Yeah... My row got asked to sit in section 1. I told the guy I bought this seat and the right to do whatever. I prefer to stand and so do the people around me. He acted ****** but ohhhh well... What was he going to do?? Call the cops on me for standing??

Older fat guy decked out in white rent-a-cop uniform?

Just guessing as he was harassing my daughters (7 & 9) for going down in front of section 5 to see the cheerleaders. He is the only one that does it and was in rare form last night. Had issues with him last year, but last night was the 1st time I had seen him all season.

The girls haven't had a problem this season going down and watching prior to last night. When they came back up to our seats (row 11) they were almost in tears. It took me one look to spot him and asked them if it was Paul Blart. The confirmed.

Yeah.. i seem to remember those areas being pushed towards families to grab a blanket and take the family to the game on the hillside at one point.

Yeah your right, 23 years old, trying to make it through grad school and trying to spend some time with friends and family in the area and I need to, "buy a real seat." I wasn't trying to stand and make everyone stand, for goodness sakes there was a fumble that put us in the end zone and they weren't even giving high fives. Your right I won't come back because I learned something that night. The student section largely fuels the energy of the stadium, and the second you leave it and try to get into a game outside of it you are instantly labeled as inconsiderate of those around you. Well it is cheaper to stay home and and drink my own beer and not get heckled by part time fans that don't give a damn about this team. So I will not put what little little and can i stress the little amount of spare cash I have at the moment and put it towards a seat, because it sounds like all around the stadium you cannot get excited about the game without getting told to sit down.

Sounds like you need to control your kids. Try this.

#1 - I agree with other comment that the hillside are going to be more casual fans. I know if my wife and 4 year old daughter come to a game, I'm giving up my seat in the stands and we'll hang out on a blanket on the hillside. I'm not going to be as animated as I am in my regular section. WELCOME TO HILLSIDE SEATING.

#2 - Playing the "victim" card is really getting old and tired in so many aspects of our society today. YOU chose to go to grad school, YOU chose to sit with the more casual crowd on the hillside. Be a responsible adult and except the bed you've made and take responsiblity for YOUR choices in life.
