Dead on, Jon. By the way, the blow out losses were to two pretty good teams IMO. Granted we did not look coherent at all. But we are 4-4 at this point in the season and about poisitioned where most of us expected at this point. With three home games and a winnable road game, bowl elgibiility is within grasp. Unthinkably, playing in the Big 12 championship is a possibility. We control our own destiny and I imagine the Seniors will be focused in these last four games of their careers and have the team ready to go!

Honest question, Jon. Not trying to be a DB. How was that interviewing Bielema right after the game? That had to suck for you!

Cathartic actually. I had a job to do right then, and it's extremely high adrenalin because its such a small window, you get one shot and totally focused. So I didn't have time to pout ;) the had post game, and it actually lessened the blow to the fan in me.

Does the bolded part bother anyone else?

Thanks for the players that are currently on the team and what a wonderfull win yesterday!

You know what I mean chad.. These players are a combination of 3 different coaching staffs. I love their effort and fight. I just can't wait to see what happens when we get more players in the system and some continuity with the coaching staff.

Hey Jon!

Hey Jon, thanks for the Congrats, I'm sure its heart felt... Everything looks legit but just want to comment on the "I saw some posts questioning Paul Rhoads". Not sure you as a hawkeye fan should ever criticize ISU fans for posting a few negative thoughts on their board, even if unjustified...

Hawk fans, including you are the KING of knee jerk questioning of their coaches, including Ferentz in the past. Please, lets not make this a topic as you make your rounds this week- i know your better than this.

Hail to Coach Paul Rhoads and hawk fan jon miller!

"Congrats on that win...I didn't even give an ISU win at Texas a thought after the last two weeks.

I can't stand Texas and have always been a big Arnaud fan...great to see those players have something to feel good about...how about road wins at Nebraska and Texas the last two years?

I have been reading posts here the last month, but not posting. I saw some posts questioning Paul Rhoads. My gosh, the man needs more time do get his program installed.

Wally Burnham is an old school witch. The turnover margin stat ISU is enjoying for the second straight year cannot be a fluke now.

Sure, 120 points in back to back weeks is bad..but to stand up and win at Texas? Mind boggling to me. Two more wins and back to a bowl. Congrats on the win"

Jon you know as well as anyone that there are a lot of so called fans that shouldn't be taken seriously, and sadly message boards give them a louder voice then they deserve.

Thanks for the props, and why didn't Iowa spike the ball?

Thanks, JM. Figuring most 'Eye fans would be angry & trying to be-little the win vs Texas yesterday.

You have to admit, Wisky's QB played awful well yesterday. I was a little shocked you called him out before the game & basically said he was just a 'game manager'. To me, this was a weird moniker, as I always think it is a QB's #1 job to 'manage the game' & be the coach on the field.

Can't Stanz-ya should have managed the game & spiked the ball. No Head Coach or Coordinator should have to instruct an experienced QB to do/know that. Not a game-breaking play to make ESPN, but the correct thing to do at crunch time.

Thanks, man! Nice of you to post those comments. Maybe you're not as bad of a guy as some would make you out to be?

Just think, what could Wally do with players of top Big 12 caliber? Our defense sure gets shredded sometimes, but they are also very opportunistic.

Could have had 6 or more turnovers yesterday with all the interceptions we dropped. I'm actually glad we dropped them, people can't claim Texas handed us the game.

Going into the 4th quarter, ISU had completely dominated every phase of that game. My only disappointment yesterday is we didn't keep pressing to let the final score show that.
I know Rhoads has too much class, but many Utes were rooting for him to run in a touchdown from the 5 on that last possession.

Congrats again.. NICE Nice Win!
