He looked pretty pedestrian today. Maybe he meant best QB in the state that plays against mainly FCS competition.
He looked good when he had plenty of time and could sit in the pocket. When he was pressured or had to move in the pocket, he struggled. He is probably good at the FCS level but I was expecting more
Ehh, I don't know about best ever. They gave up a few too many rushing yards for my liking. We got out first-downed 20-10, after all.Honestly he looked good overall. But our freaking defense was legit! Other than 2-3 completions, every throw was contested. He was running for his life most of the day.
It's kinda crazy to say (and too early to say) but this could be our best defense yet. Most of the time when they had success it was against primarily 2nd or 3rd stringers.
I think you can blame the offense on that. 10 first downs against an fcs team is bad and wrong. There should be a new stronger word for getting 10 first downs like badwrong or badong. Yes, ten first downs is badong. From this moment, I hope the offense stands for the opposite of ten first downs. Snwodtsrifnet.Ehh, I don't know about best ever. Agree. And yet, Farley thought he could with only 16 seconds left in the half.Very few FCS qbs could pick apart this defense….
Agreed. Day certainly did not look like a guy expected to play in the NFL.In the 1st half, before we called off the dogs and played mainly 2nd and 3rd stringers on defense, 23 year old 6th year senior Theo was 3-10 with 2 interceptions.
Redshirt freshman Becht finished the game 10/13 with 2 touchdowns, no interceptions, and a QB rating that I believe was over 200.
If Theo is the best QB in the state, he sure fooled me today.
He's 6'5" and that's about itAgreed. Day certainly did not look like a guy expected to play in the NFL.
Half this board is thinking it though...“Credit them. Maybe they were better than I thought they were.”
Eat **** Farley
Nothing new.You hear about players who play with a chip on their shoulder. Well Farley coaches with a chip on his shoulder. At no point during his press conference does he give any credit to Iowa State.
