Honestly he looked good overall. But our freaking defense was legit! Other than 2-3 completions, every throw was contested. He was running for his life most of the day.
It's kinda crazy to say (and too early to say) but this could be our best defense yet. Most of the time when they had success it was against primarily 2nd or 3rd stringers.
Ehh, I don't know about best ever. They gave up a few too many rushing yards for my liking. We got out first-downed 20-10, after all.
I think you can blame the offense on that. 10 first downs against an fcs team is bad and wrong. There should be a new stronger word for getting 10 first downs like badwrong or badong. In the 1st half, before we called off the dogs and played mainly 2nd and 3rd stringers on defense, 23 year old 6th year senior Theo was 3-10 with 2 interceptions.

Agreed. Day certainly did not look like a guy expected to play in the NFL.
Hard to judge him when he was constantly getting hit.
Up until the 30-3 lead he was just constantly at risk of being hit.
He was sacked 5 times and hit a lot more times. Rocco//JJ were not sacked.

I’d have more respect for Theo, but he made some bad decisions and missed receivers. Not all his fault.

You hear about players who play with a chip on their shoulder. Well Farley coaches with a chip on his shoulder. At no point during his press conference does he give any credit to Iowa State.
