Surprise surprise. Jay Bilas comes out against the NCAA. That guy has a hard on for complaining about the NCAA.
It's his shtick. Frankly I am glad to have someone regularly calling out the NCAA in public. They are at best incompetent.

I can't disagree with him about the NCAA for the most part but he's unfollowable on Twitter.

First exhibition game for KU is tonight, and he's still not cleared? Makes you wonder....
In really surprised that Cheick isn't cleared. I figured as soon as Skal got cleared for Kentucky that it wouldn't be long. I guess potential academic issues take longer to sort out than a guardian shopping you around for his non profit.

I'm really surprised that Diallo hasn't been cleared because...it's Kansas. IMO, he will be cleared before the Big XII season.

Probably the day before we play them too.

Any court time he's missing is hurting them, especially with how raw he is offensively. If he misses a lot of the non conference schedule that is an advantage for us in the B12 race

At this point, I don't think he'll be cleared anytime soon. It seems he has been ruled ineligible and KU is in the process of appeal. The NCAA is probably asking for school records from Mali that simply don't exist because of bad record keeping.

Even though its kansas. The ncaa is ********. Either he can play or he cant. If it takes this long hire some more investigators. If it takes 5 months to figure out if someone took the right courses. That is rediculous.

What's most sad is even most ISU fans, who HATE Kansas, think the kid should be cleared and be able to play. That's how awful the NCAA is.

I don't know enough to say whether he should or should not be eligible, but to not come out with a decision is BS. The schools/conferences need to step up and force a rule that once classes start all eligibility questions need to be resolved. If the clearinghouse can't find reason to sit a kid before classes start, then the player is cleared.
