Cheick Diallo & KU - Ineligible?

Sorry if this has been posted but I didn't see a thread title related to it. I saw this on Yahoo. Any idea why he could be declared ineligible? It would tickle me silly if he WAS declared ineligible!

He's probably the difference between KU winning the Big 12 or not. I read an article that states that KU cleared Diallo (big shock), and Self is confident that the NCAA will clear him too.

It's going to take him time to transition to the NCAA, so if that is true and he's eligible right before conference play that would be really good news for us. But I agree with allfourcy, he'll be eligible before the season starts.
