Casey's is purchasing 198 CEFCO stores for $1.145 billion. I've stopped at a few of these down in Mississippi and this feels like Casey's is maybe outkicking their coverage on this one.
Once again, it feels like Casey's strategy is just to get bigger, without addressing how far they've slipped.
Gotta make that money now before Kwik Star takes over. Casey’s will still have small towns that they’ll continue to dominate. But they don’t hold a candle to KS in terms of cleanliness and convenience. Pizza is the only thing that Casey’s has an advantage and there’s plenty of options for that in bigger towns and cities.
Never heard of it.You mean until Buc ee's takes over. Quick Star is good, but nowhere near Buc ees. It's only a matter of time. Buc-ees is the Wal Mart of Gas and food stations.

If Casey's had the chicken strips they used to have, you could probably make a case for that being better than or equal to KS as well....but they took it away and now, it's not even close.Caseys pizza and specifically their breakfast pizza is incredible. Everything else is done better by Kwik Trip.
Buc-ee's isn't going to stray away from their strategic interstate locations. Honestly, they are more of a tourist attraction than anything. Stopping at Buc-ee's is a huge pain in the a$$.

Texas, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida look to fit their hiring and customer demographic perfectly.
When I was in Alabama they were actually talking about doing the exact opposite of what you were saying and even had a news report that Buc-ees was going to be getting into the smaller stores off the interstate. I imagine it would be just them taking over a bunch already in place.
