Buc-ees pays a very decent wage for non skill work labor, we were talking to a couple of gals working at the checkout once and they said they both prefer working the overnight hours, less crowds and pays better for the same work.Buc-ee’s in Springield MOnis awesome!!!!
Damn that's some solid wages.Buc-ee’s in Springield MOnis awesome!!!!
Well, remember Dons fondly because Dons family doesn’t own it anymore. Told they dropped the Godfathers franchise and their pizza is absolutely awful.Best gas station chicken I have ever had, Not the most spicy, etc. but best quality, cooking and deal. Don's Motor Mart in Lake Mills Iowa.
By far the best quality I have ever had. Unless its changed in recent years, it is really good. If anyone is ever in Lake Mills, give it a shot.
edit: The chick strips are the best but bone in is really good too!
Well that sucks.Well, remember Dons fondly because Dons family doesn’t own it anymore. Told they dropped the Godfathers franchise and their pizza is absolutely awful.
Dons younger of the two sons who ran it has opened an old time diner in the old NAPA store. Maybe he has something similar.Well that sucks.
The chicken was franchised with Charley Biggs Chicken.
The pizza was Godfathers as you state.
Used to go through there a lot and the chicken was pretty notorious in my circle, as being fantastic.
Not sure if or when I will ever get up there again, but I guess it is a fond memory if I dont ever make it back there, and if they dont still make the same chicken.
For reference here is everywhere you can get it, I have no Idea if this chicken is as good as it was at Don's everywhere, or if they did something different. I do know I saw them opening the packages of chicken to cook, and they were not branded charley biggs I dont believe, so they may have been sourced elsewhere and they only used charley biggs for their breading etc. No idea either way.

Dons still shows on the list. But new owners could have completely changed what they were doing to make it good.
My hometown still has one. Tastes exactly like it did 30 years ago. But it'll cost ya, a large specialty pizza is about $23.00.Happy Joe's was the bomb, but they are few and far between any more.
Looks like a bunch of them in Texas or OU.

edit: didn't go zoom out, so yes Alabama area (maybe Panhandle for FL)
Buffalo Center Casey's is probably one of the worst in the area. Dirty, grimy and yet always crowded.
I was through there last Sunday and must have missed it
