In this society, more money is the option any smart person needs to consider. Financial security is kind of a big thing right now...

Totally agree but he could have said that in an easy way instead of the National Championship reason. Granted he can probably get them to that caliber but not at the moment and probably not for a couple years. ISU was primed for a Championship run next year so if that was the real reason he should have stayed to coach that team.

I'll never boo Cael, he gave me some of my proudest moments as a Cyclone, maybe even the proudest when he won his 4th national title to go 159-0. We may never know the real reason or reasons why Cael left, but they were apparently important enough to him, and maybe they were good reasons. For me that will never take away what he did for ISU with probably the greatest sporting feat and career in NCAA history, and he did it as a Clone.

This is true. Makes it harder to believe that he turned around and **** on the university that gave him so much doesn't it?

Cael is Morman and I've heard doesn't gamble or drink.... Are you sure it was him?

Well some churches dont believe it premarital sex and birth control but doesnt mean everyone follows that.

Are you sure it was Cael? That just doesn't seem right that he'd go to a casino....

Do you know cael personally? Most likely no so how can you know he doesnt like to go out and maybe hit up a casino.

We'll see in a couple of years. My feeling is that it won't suck....

As of today.... Penn State wrestling is awful. I hope it takes just long enough for the Penn State coach to get things turned around for ISU to get them on the schedule to come to Ames. I pray for ISU - Penn State matchups so ISU can wipe the mat with those guys.

Maybe we can even put together a promotion if we get them on the schedule to take down the Penn State coaches banner hanging in the rafters at Hilton. The ISU faithful would go absolutely wild cheering to see that. I know I would.

At one point in time I traveled quite a bit to Pennsylvania for business, so I called one of my PA clients after Cael took the job at PSU. I proceeded to give him grief for taking our coach....and he (A PSU grad) had no clue about what I what talking about at first, but then remembered seeing something on the second page of the sports section. He said nobody goes to wrestling events at PSU. Nobody at PSU really cares about anything but Football.

Pretty poor on Cael's part to be bouncing around Ames in a Penn St. cap. I know he likes to have a ball cap on but what about something neutral?

Just a thought Cael...just a thought.

I saw him coming out of the parking lot at the East HyVee in town as well. He has a Penn State logo where the front license plate goes.

Your Penn State..... You just hired an Olympic golf medalist and the only undefeated 4 time NCAA champion in history. You set up his press conference in your arena.............. You have a grand total of about 100 people show up? I hope the Penn State coach was thinking to himself "Oh **** what have I done?"

Hopefully the answer to that question is commit career suicide. :biglaugh:

If there weren't any other Mormons there, he was good to go. When I lived in Idaho Falls (largest per capita Mormon pop. in the country), the saying was, "you never take just one Morman fishing with you, or he'll drink all your beer. Take two and you have it all to yourself."

This was on the front of the Register today. His picture was on the frontpage sitting at a slot machine.
