I ran into Cael Sanderson (and one of the Paulsons I think) about 2:30 am in the Horseshoe casino in Council Bluffs on Sat morning (fri night). A buddy of mine and I talked to him for a minute- wished him luck.

He was wearing a PSU cap... as you may expect he is nowadays.

Cael is Morman and I've heard doesn't gamble or drink.... Are you sure it was him?

Not sure if he was/ had been drinking - but he did have a coin cup in his hand.... looked to be heading in the vicinity of the slots. I was losing at the craps table FYI.

Are you sure it was Cael? That just doesn't seem right that he'd go to a casino....

At this point this garners a gigantic "who cares" - besides his undefeated wrestling record and history he's no longer associated with ISU.

Actually a buddy of mine that works at the K&G in Ames said he came in wearing a PSU hat... he debated slapping him and risking death.

Pretty poor on Cael's part to be bouncing around Ames in a Penn St. cap. I know he likes to have a ball cap on but what about something neutral?

Just a thought Cael...just a thought.

When you become PSU, you change. The potential recruits may be gamblers and he was just trying to connect. Have you joined his Twitter logo?

I'll never boo Cael, he gave me some of my proudest moments as a Cyclone, maybe even the proudest when he won his 4th national title to go 159-0. We may never know the real reason or reasons why Cael left, but they were apparently important enough to him, and maybe they were good reasons. For me that will never take away what he did for ISU with probably the greatest sporting feat and career in NCAA history, and he did it as a Clone.

booooo ahead kind sir boooo ahead.

We paid for his education, food, clothes, housing, salary, ever since he left Utah.

I just want to hear him say, "yeah it was for the money" if its true and its that many X what we are paying him. If I found a job that even doubled my pay I would tell all my family, friends, etc. thats why I was leaving.

booooo
