Converted. My cousin's went to ISU during Fred's years playing b-ball and they became friends with him. I met him several times and since then I have been nothing but a Cyclone fan.

I totally love ISU and went to college there because of that. My mom is a Cyclone fan after being a Hawkeye her whole life, and my Dad sometimes likes the Cyclones. Kinda got soured when a Cyclone fan threatened him at the Iowa/ISU game year because he thought he had an Iowa shirt on. Turns out he was wearing a Gold Cyclone shirt.

Usually... Cyclone fans are more down to earth and not as air headed as Hawkeye fans. Also, seriously, I had a Hawkeye fan tell me they nicknamed the state after the university. Can someone be that stupid. UofI named themselves the Hawks after the state of Iowa nickname.

Grew up in Ohio, but my family was all from Indiana. Parents went to IU. Followed Hoosiers basketball and Notre Dame football as a kid. Moved to Iowa after high school because of my dad's job. Started at Iowa State and fell in love with it. I've been a Cyclone fanatic since.

Born in Iowa. My father did his premed at ISU and graduated from UofI dental school. Grew up a total Clone fan. My father has yet to say anything positive (plenty of bad stuff) about UofI in my 26 years. In fact, this year my father convinced my sister to do her premed at ISU even though all her indoctrinated friends told her otherwise. On a side note, my father spoke with the faculty at UofI and they said it makes no difference where you do your premed as long as you are an exceptional student.

Grew up in eastern Iowa. Went to the Iowa Michigan game when Orr was the coach. Ricky Green, Phil Hubbard, against Ronny Lester. Beat Iowa 104 - 95. Listened to every football and basketball game for 10 years. Never even heard of Iowa State until I was 14. Got a scholarship to attend ISU and been a Clone for 25 years.

I just find it great to see that were not all born and raised on this site, but that ISU can convert and cultivate a great number more that are as passionate as I am about my school. Thank you all!

Grew up in eastern Iowa a Hawkeye. My dad & I went to many Iowa bball & fball games. Went to ISU for school & became a Cyclone.

What do I tell all the Hawkeye fans I work with? "I've probably gone to more Iowa games than you, so don't tell me you're a diehard... I've experienced both Iowa & ISU fans, & I've made an EDUCATED decision to be a Cyclone fan!" No brainer to me, & since then my whole family (including me dad) are BIG Cyclone fans!

Unfortunately, raised a hawk. Saw the light after playing juco ball and transferring to ISU. Wear the colors with pride and can't stand EIU or most of their fans. Go Clones!!!

grew up in Ames, never hated the HACKEYES til I was in college....Their perpetual HOLIER THAN THOU attitude in spite of any facts to the contrary just solidified my resolve as a CLONE TO THE BONE. If you knew me, you'd know.
