When I was in kindergarten, my teacher asked each of us what our favorite food was.....I couldn't decide between liver & squash.

Liver, cooked properly, is amazing.

Watermelon, on the other hand, might be the most disgusting food on earth.
The terrorists are winning.

The old Army Tuna with Noodles MRE.

I ate it once at Basic Training in 1991. To this day, I still can't and won't eat anything with tuna in it. I would rather starve, and I'd be happily hungry. If it came down to tuna or death, I'm ready to go.

Man, I had this stuff once. Someone was passing it around at a tailgate. Absolutely terrible tasting! So of course I had some more to seem cool. And then I woke up in jail.........

This discussion has changed for me so much since I've started traveling a lot internationally. (and not like Europe - India, China, Korea)

My absolute worst is a cafeteria in a factory in China. There were three "dishes" on display to choose from. I pointed to the first and asked what is it. They said chicken. I said that sounds ok. Then they said wait that is fish you don't want the fish.

Pointed to the second one and they said "I think that is beef".

Pointed to the third one and the American guy with me said "I'm not sure". He asked a Chinese lady with us. She asked the server. No one knew.

Although I did also get to eat in Brazil, which is amazing and makes all other food taste like dog food. Except the cow ear. That pretty much tasted like skin and cartilage. (not sure why I didn't expect that)

Natto. A Japanese dish that is made with soybeans fermented with bacillus subtilis. It was hard to get it to my mouth because the smell is so harsh.

It was a combination of new machine smell and the pop corn smell. Microwave popcorn hasn't been an issue. Hilton Popcorn only was a problem a few times. BUT that was only this time. Each pregnancy is different.

My wife had this same problem when she was pregnant, almost bad enough that she didn't even want to go to the theaters. I was also forbidden of munching down on popcorn during movies, it sucked, cause I love myself some overpriced theater popcorn.

Poi is horrible. Kava doesn't taste very good either, but it does intoxicate, so it is worth the pain.

Green peppers - also a genetic thing. I was the only one in my family that hated them, and I am also adopted. While growing up I was always told to tough it out and they continued to order them on pizza. When I learned about the genetic connection in a class at ISU I couldn't wait to go home and lay into my family about their child abusing ways.

While I have some tastes I don't like, I'm more affected by texture. I can power through a bad taste, but bad texture is waaaay more overpowering. Must come out of my mouth right now.

For the seeders out there. When you throw a handfull in and you get one of those bad seeds that are like ash in the middle. Worse when your in the car and have no water to wash it out.

Coconut. Absolutely cannot stand it.

My wife is eating paleo/primal, she cooks everything in coconut oil. The other day she made meatballs fried in coconut oil. It was not a taste I was expecting.
