I don't think he's going to the Celtics. They assigned him to their NBDL team, which was the same team he was on. Kinda strange.

Even if it is only for the D-league, that's guaranteed money. My guess is they will use him when they need a shut down defender.

Yeah it's a confusing press release, it's obviously good news for Babb means the Celtics think highly of him. Hopefully it's more than a deal for the rest of the season with a team option for next year though.

A dude like that has a place in the league, if robert horry does.


Robert Horry was 6'10", a clutch shooter, won 7 championships with two teams, and played for 16 years. There's no question Horry deserved to be in the NBA.

Got to say hi to him at the Energy game on Saturday and get a picture with my son. He picked that game months ago just because he wanted to see Babb.
