Whomp, whomp. Another paper tiger bites the dust.

Who plays in the defense-optional league again, Squawkeyes? Poor JarBo, rode that Garza train as long as he could....

More like B1Gross

The funny part about the Big 10 in this tournament is all of the teams that have lost so far (save Rutgers ironically) looked over matched in their games.

Obviously Oregon was a class above Iowa.
Loyola controlled Illinois for that entire game
Ohio State and Purdue made some runs against their teams, but both North Texas and Oral Roberts were consistently the better teams those nights.
Michigan State had OT, but who cares it was a week ago.l

Come on now fellas.... Remember the B1G 82 game regular season schedule was such a grind. I mean night after night another battle! They had NO energy left for the field of 64.

Packing those bags with 90 days worth of clothes was mentally weighing on them ,too!

I wasn't really paying attention to how bad the Big 10 failed, but went back and looked. Clearly they were all out in short order, but they not only got 9 teams but they got 2 one seeds, and 2 two seeds, so the conference got half of the top 8 seeds and barely made it out of the second round.

Of the top 8 seeded teams 3 made the final 4.
Of the 5 that didn't, 4 were from the BiG.

It is pretty hard to defend the Big 10 after this debacle. 9 teams from 1 conference, that was supposed to be the best allows you to have a couple teams that just had a bad day and still get more than 1 in the sweet 16. The Iowa and IL losses were embarrassing.
