There is no 1a and 1b in Stewart Mandel's list of top 25 coaches this year, and there are a few names shooting up the ranks.

actually is was just about the schedule being a little different/longer.

Had an interesting discussion recently comparing Bob Stoops and Kirk Ferentz in this way. Consensus was that Ferentz was better, although I wouldn't object to believing the opposite.
