Conversations I've heard in my industry...
"Aren't you worried?"
"About what?"
"That AI is going to replace copywriters and designers and photographers in advertising and marketing?"
"No."
"You don't think agencies are going to start using AI for their creative?"
"No."
"Why not? It'll save them so much money. Their margins would be huge."
"Because the minute their clients hear they have AI doing their creative, they'll be out of business.
You don't need to record it. You need to have transcription enabled, which might need a separate license, in addition to Copilot, depending on your setup. Copilot interacts with the transcription so recording is not necessaryI’m looking for a better way to take notes during conference calls. For those who use Copilot for meeting recaps/notes, if you have a call over MS Teams do you have to record the meeting first or can it recap without recording enabled?
Yeah but the second a client who's been paying their agency gobs of $$$ for creative hears said agency is using AI to come up with said creative, said client will think... "Hell WE can punch a bunch of prompts into ChatGPT, why are we paying you to do that?"I think your only mistake is thinking that companies will care if it does it worse. They won’t care as long as they can cut headcount enough to make up for it. EnSHITification baby.
If you completely rely on it without a basic understanding of what you're asking it, you may end up looking stupid. AI is not fool proof and will on occasion make either invalid assumptions or cite incorrect data. Much of what I ask of AI is organizing or expanding on what I already know, and doing it much faster than I could otherwise. It's a support tool not a replacement for knowledge. Also haven't seen the real reason:
To make me artificially intelligent
I agree. No doubt it could/will be completely trans-formative but right now most AI tools are just really highly organized search engine results.
I've used copilot for creating various python/vba scripts for doing stuff in excel/office applications quite a bit. Generally works fairly well to get a good start, but have had several instances of it not following correct syntax etc and have to have several followup prompts to work around it.I've used ChatGPT a few times. Once to write up a press release. I had to re-write most of it, but since I had no idea what a press release should look look like it gave me a good starting point. Also used it for finding some research papers I could source. It gave me a bunch of stuff that I don't think even existed, but I did manage to find a couple of things I could use out of it.
I've heard it can code and I've thought about trying to use it to code some python scripts to build tools in ArcGIS but haven't tried yet. Anyone use it for this at all?
Never used it. I love the idea of using it to create meeting minutes though because I am HORRIBLE about doing so.
It can absolutely be a useful tool to get something started, 100%. What drives me nuts is when people punch in a bunch of prompts to ChatGPT, has it kick out a completed and finished article/blog, and said person posts it with their name on it.I've used ChatGPT a few times.
