He will have to.

I will say this. Tiller's first two career starts where as difficult as you could possibly imagine.

@ Nebraska
@ A&M

Without starting RB one game and with your offensive line playing musical chairs. I honestly think he did a fine job considering everything

I second that.

If AA goes down, I see Tiller leading the charge very well. I mean, he was on the road for his first two starts.....Nebby and A&M...two very tough places. He would give us a chance in all the remaining games IMO.

We need turnover free play from either QB to have a chance on Saturday.

Tiller did a great job and AA has been playing great prior to his injury.

Also it took Austin a couple of games to get the "live flow" of the offensive down so hopefully Tiller's eyes have been opened enough.

Tiller managed the game well against NU, no doubt. Wasn't asked to do much and what he was asked to do, he did well.

Against A&M, it sounded like he did some good things, just made a couple mistakes that hurt us as well. As noted, both QBs need to play mistake free football for ISU to win. It's a bit of a different game if Tiller doesn't toss a couple picks. I don't think we win, but we're not playing so far behind and perhaps we can run ARob more.

Keep in mind that A&M defense is rather poor and we were relatively ineffective against them. Sounds like the makeshift offensive line wasn't a problem and our running back was healthy. Again, Tiller has done ok considering circumstances, but we needed much better play at the QB position to hang with A&M - we didn't get it.

Will see how effective Arnaud can be this weekend. OSU is good, they've also shown the ability to give up plenty of points and big plays defensively.

you have to consider we were down 3 offensive linemen,a half back that was not at full speed for the a and m game.that had to play some disadvantage in the a and m game.
we will see how good a and m is this coming weekend.

Being at the A&M game the one thing that killed us was the fact that we couldn't finish drives. If Tiller can find a way to keep the drive going until we get points he should be in good shape.
I really don't remember going 3 and out all day, just remember the drives coming to an end at the worst times.... well that and the two ints.

arnaud has been money on 3rd and short, goal line, heck even third and long... kind of tim tebow esque... thats not tillers style though, and not arobs either. Thats why we've been struggling in the red zone last 2 weeks

Tiller looked fairly comfortable in the pocket against ATM.

Made a bad throw for the 1st INT and the INT endzone wasn't the greatest throw but it looked like the defender made a great play there.

Regardless of how it plays out this year, Tiller's gotten some invaluable playing time and snaps. More work those 2 games than AA had working behind Myer in 07. Dunno what the future holds with upcoming recruits at QB , but worst case scenario we have a competent guy in Tiller to take over down the road.

I agree. Great training for Tiller. I have to think Arnauds going to show a little rust when he comes back.

When Tiller got hurt at TAM all I could think about is who is the next guy? We had heard a lot about Tiller before he was in the game and he had actually played some in the early games. I get the feeling that there is a huge dropoff after Tiller.
